Jakarta –
Congestion occurred around the Wildlife Park area Ragunan on the first day New Year 2024 This. One of the visitors, Aldi (26), admitted that he regretted traveling to Ragunan because he was stuck in traffic.
“I’m a bit regretful, the animal looked away when it was about to be photographed, so the photo was bad. I didn’t get a good photo,” said Aldi to journalists in Ragunan, South Jakarta, Monday (1/1/2024).
Aldi said he was stuck in traffic for 1.5 hours to get to Ragunan. He departed from the Halim area, East Jakarta at 12.00 WIB and arrived in Ragunan at 13.30 WIB.
“Left from home, from Halim, I was stuck in traffic jam for 1.5 hours on the road. Walked at 12.00 WIB and got here at 13.30 WIB, not to mention queuing for tickets. Tired of being on the road,” said Aldi.
“Earlier I tried looking for an alternative route, via Kebagusan, it turned out to be closed, then via TB Simatupang it turned out to be the same, there was traffic jam too,” he added.
He said this New Year’s traffic jam was busier than in 2023. He admitted that he could only go at speeds under 20 km/hour.
“Last year there was also traffic jam, but it wasn’t as congested as this year. It’s stuck, the motorbike can still run a little, but if the car is stuck, just now the speed of the motorbike couldn’t be above 20 km/hour,” he said.
Another visitor, Hadi (25), also admitted that he was stuck in traffic for 1.5 hours. In fact, he admitted that he had taken an alternative route.
“It’s only from Kebagusan Raya, even though it’s already through alleys, though permanent “1.5 hours, it turns out it’s the same, there’s traffic jam too,” said Hadi.
“Usually I go through the Agricultural red light, but because I read the news it was closed, I went through Kebagusan in the hope that there wouldn’t be any traffic jams, but it’s the same. Departed at 13.30 WIB, arrived here at 15.20 WIB, just arrived, really tired on the road, there’s traffic jams,” he added.
He felt that his time was wasted on the road because of traffic jams. He admitted that he could not enjoy his holiday time in Ragunan to the fullest this New Year.
“I’m sorry I didn’t enjoy my holiday, even though I could have enjoyed New Year and saw these animals end up on the road,” he said.
