A road traffic collision occurred on Monday evening at Coolcarron, Belgooly in Co Cork, involving two vehicles. The passenger of one vehicle, a woman in her 20s, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Cork University Hospital. The drivers of both vehicles were also taken to the same hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The R600 at Coolcarron remains closed and is expected to stay closed for the morning, with diversions in place. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward and are especially interested in anyone who may have camera footage of the incident. Contact information is provided for anyone with information.
