In the entire district of Peine, the sudden onset of winter caused chaotic conditions on the streets, the police said on Saturday. In the district area 22 traffic accidents have been reported, most of them were reported to be sheet metal damage. Heavy snowfall caused difficult road conditions and long traffic jams in Bremen. The police went into over 130 traffic accidents until late at night. No one was injured, the police said. Mostly it was a rear-end collision. The snow remained lying on many streets – to the delight of many children who were able to use their sledges in Bremen and the surrounding area for the first time this winter. © dpa-infocom, dpa: 210130-99-232405 / 2 — .
