Traffic and Parking Restrictions for Summer Music Day in Toulouse

Toulouse, France – On Wednesday, June 21, 2023, Toulouse will celebrate the summer and Music Day with various concerts and events throughout the city. However, the festivities may be affected by thunderstorms that have been occurring in the region. In addition to the weather, there will be certain traffic and parking restrictions in the Toulouse city center during the late afternoon and throughout the night.

Transport Disruptions:
Due to an ongoing strike, Tisseo, the local transportation service, will not be able to offer its usual service on Wednesday. Metro lines A and B will operate from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m., with the last departures from each terminus. The T1 line will have a frequency of 30 minutes on average and 15 minutes during peak hours, with the last departures from each terminus at 9 p.m. Other bus lines, including lines 14, 17, 19, 25, 26, 30, 32, 49, 53, 55, 69, 71, 80, and 82, as well as Airport and City Center Shuttles, will also be affected. Line 14 will only travel between Basso Cambo and Arènes, while Line 31 will run between the Arènes and Toulouse-Blagnac Airport. Closure of Car Parks:
Two underground car parks in the city center, namely the Capitole and Victor Hugo car parks, will be closed from 5:30 p.m. until 4 a.m. Access to these car parks will be available via rue du Rempart Matabiau, and the exit will be through the north on boulevard de Strasbourg.

Parking Prohibited:
Parking will be prohibited in several streets of the city center from 6 p.m. on June 21 until 4 a.m. on June 22. The affected streets include Rue Gambetta (section place du Capitole – rue Mirepoix), Rue de la pomme (street section of the weight of oil – rue Alsace Lorraine), Law Street, Allées F. Roosvelt, Wilson Square, Rue Pargaminières, Rue du Rempart Villeneuve, Rue Gabriel Péri (section rue Vidal – boulevard Carnot), and Rue du Pont Saint-Pierre (section rue Baric – Saint-Pierre bridge), among others.

Traffic Prohibited:
Certain streets in the city center will have traffic prohibited from 6 p.m. on June 21 until 4 a.m. on June 22. These streets include Allée de Brienne (Quai Saint Pierre side), Rue Deville, Rue Paraminières, Rue Romiguières, Rue du Poids de l’huile, Rue Lafayette, Rue Saint-Rome, Rue des Lois, Rue Gambetta, Rue de la Pomme, Rue des Puits dug, Rue de Rémusat, Place Victor Hugo (except north lane), Rue d’Austerlitz, Rue des trois jours, Rue Maurice Fonvielle, Rue Boulbonne, Rue des changes, Rue du Pont Saint-Pierre at Place Lange, Allées du Président Roosevelt, Rue Gabriel Péri, Rue d’Alsace Lorraine, Rue de la Colombette, Quai Lombard, Quai de la Daurade, Rue Peyrollières, Rue des Blanchers, Rue Larrey, Rue Malbec, Rue Sainte Ursule, Rue de la Bourse, Pont Saint-Pierre, Place Saint-Pierre, Place des Carmes, Rue des Polinaires, Rue Saint Antoine du T, Rue des Sept Troubadours, Boulevard J. Michelet, North side of the Church, Rue de l’Industrie, Rue J. Palaprat, Rue Thioville, Rue Maury, Rue du Rempart Villeneuve, Rue Lanternières, Rue de l’écharpe, and Rue F. Boyer-Fonfrede.
