It was the 45-year-old Lill Helen Nergård from Karasjok who died when the car she was driving collided head-on with a truck at Suossjavri on Tuesday night.
The police release the name in a press release on Friday afternoon in consultation with the relatives.
The police write in the press release that they have opened an investigation case and have questioned the driver and witness who was sitting in the other vehicle.
– The investigations so far indicate that the car that the deceased woman was driving came over in the opposite lane and collided head-on with the truck. No driver’s license has been seized in connection with the accident, police lawyer Hanne Bernhardsen states.
