At 8:16 pm on Monday evening, police received a report of a traffic accident on the E39 Brulandsvegen in Pinndalen in Førde.
Two cars involved with a total of four people on board, but no one was trapped.
The cars were partly on the street, partly in the ditch, and there were queues and reduced traffic on the site.
The police patrol arrived at the scene ten minutes after receiving the first report, that is at 20.26, Stine Mjelde at the police operations center informs Firda.
The ambulance arrived on site at 8.41 pm and looked for the people involved.
– All the people involved are out of the cars and can talk and are conscious. There are no car leaks, or smoke. But some traffic has built up. We have a good overview of the site and started with manual routing, says Mjelde.
The parking spaces were requisitioned.
Ole Marius Larsen was the police chief on the spot. He said there is moderate damage to the cars involved.
– None of the people involved showed signs of serious injuries. It’s likely some of them suffered minor injuries, but I haven’t been able to confirm that, she says.
An ambulance had been dispatched from the city with people on board, but Larsen has no record of how many.
– What can you say about the sequence of events?
– The course is something we will investigate to find out. We’re opening a case on the incident, says Larsen.
At the moment it is not known what speed the two cars involved had and in which direction they were heading prior to the collision. Stine Mjelde at the police operations center says there is currently no suspicion of intoxication, but that this is something the police will discover on the spot.
