On Sunday there was a traffic accident with personal injury on the A60, in the direction of the Nahetal motorway junction, at around 8.40 a.m.
A car drove on the A60 coming from Ingelheim in the direction of AD Nahetal. In the area of the transition to the BAB61 / FR Ludwigshafen, the driver lost control of his vehicle, which touched the crash barrier on the right-hand side and lost contact with the ground as a result. The vehicle was thrown several meters through the air and then rolled over several times. The driver was thrown out of the vehicle and remained lying near the vehicle involved in the accident, seriously injured. He was in critical condition when emergency services arrived and was taken to hospital for further treatment. The severity of the injuries was not yet known at the scene.
The exit to the Autohof from the A60 and A61 had to be completely closed for a period of four hours for traffic accident recording, medical care and the removal of the vehicle. Furthermore, a larger number of rescue workers and fire brigades were deployed to deal with the operation on site.
