On Saturday (18th) around 2.40 p.m. there was a traffic accident on Pallaswiesenstrasse (B3 / B42) in Darmstadt with two vehicles involved.

The person who caused the accident, a 21-year-old driver from Egelsbach, drove on Pallaswiesenstrasse in an easterly direction from Rößlerstrasse in the direction of the Im Tiefen See intersection. At number 80 (stop at the McFit), he changed lanes from right to left in order to be able to overtake a bus stopping there. Shortly afterwards, the 21-year-old pulled in again from left to right in order to be able to turn into the next parking lot at the Rewe supermarket. Here, however, it had to brake abruptly due to crossing pedestrians. At the same time, the bus wanted to start, but had to brake hard because the car suddenly cut in and braked in front of it. A collision between the two vehicles was prevented.

As a result of the emergency braking, four passengers aged 24, 27, 50 and 71 were injured on the bus. One person was taken to a Darmstadt hospital as a precautionary measure because of his injury. The other people involved were released after the first aid by the rescue workers on site.
