In the Chernihiv region on Wednesday, December 8, there was a fatal accident – a truck collided with a tractor. One person died, one more – in intensive care.
The accident happened on the highway Kiev – Chernigov – Novye Yarilovichi, near the village of Rovnopolye, reported in press service Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in the Chernihiv region.

“It is preliminarily known that there was a collision of a truck with a tractor moving in the same lane,” it was said in the message.

It is known that the deceased and the injured rode in a tractor. One of them died right at the scene of the accident, and the other received numerous injuries. He was hospitalized in a medical facility.
At the scene of the tragedy, an operational group and investigators are working to investigate crimes in the field of transport. A mobile forensic laboratory has also been used.

The causes and details of the fatal accident will be clarified by law enforcement officers.
In the comments to the publication about the accident in the Telegram channel “Hu *** th Chernigov”, one of the users noted that the men in the tractor were allegedly selling firewood. They, as stated in the commentary, drove onto the track from the side of the forest. The deceased was allegedly 22-23 years old.
Note that on the eve, on December 7, in the Chernihiv region in an accident 13 people died, seven more were injured. Accident happened near the village of Kiselevka on the road N-27 Chernigov – Gremyach. According to preliminary data, the truck collided with a shuttle bus.

The probable cause of the tragedy in the regional prosecutor’s office named the weather conditions… Previously, the truck skidded into the oncoming lane, where it collided with a minibus.

As OBOZREVATEL reported, December 6 in Volyn there was an accident involving five cars. Renault Duster, Peugeot Expert, Volkswagen Golf, VAZ 2108 and Renault Espace collided there. As a result of the accident, a man died.
