– Two trucks have been involved in a traffic accident. It may indicate front to front and there is a large damage site.
Operations manager Øystein Sagen said this shortly after the report about the accident came on Thursday afternoon.
Both lorry drivers involved in the collision were sent to hospital in Namsos.
The extent of the injuries to the men in their 20s and 70s, respectively, is not known.
The police state that they have questioned the two drivers.
The man in his 70s admits that he has crossed into the opposite lane and caused the accident. He is also suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol.
He is reported and loses his driver’s license.
The road is now open to traffic.
One truck is in the ditch, while the other is on the road.
The road was initially completely closed, but one lane has been opened.
None of the vehicles are drivable.
