On Friday morning, October 13, 2023, a traffic accident occurred in Freiburg-Brühl in which a 20-year-old scooter driver sustained minor injuries.
According to current findings, the scooter driver was traveling on Zinkmattenstrasse towards Engesserstrasse at around 9.30 a.m. when she turned right into the narrow parallel lane of Zinkmattenstrasse in the area of a car dealership and overtook a car that was properly parked on the right.
She apparently recognized the car of an oncoming 20-year-old too late, then overbraked the front wheel and fell as a result. The scooter, which slid across the road, eventually collided with the car.
The scooter driver sustained minor injuries in the accident and was taken to a local hospital by emergency services. According to current estimates, the total material damage amounts to around 2,000 euros.
