Traffic accident, E6 | Meeting accident between two lorries on E6

A lorry has run into a mountain wall on the E6 through Dalsgrenda.

– One person in the trailer, must be injured, but by consciousness. No other vehicles involved. The emergency services are on their way, the police in Nordland inform on Twitter.

The Norwegian Public Roads Administration, for its part, writes that the accident happened in Saltvika near Dalsgrenda. E6 is closed in both directions.

According to NRK traffic, the train will be off the road, but the damage is so great that the road will be kept closed.

At 11.52, the police inform that the emergency services are working on the spot.

– There must be two trailers involved in the accident – one trailer has run into the ditch – no injuries. The other trailer has run into the rock wall, where the driver is injured, but went into the ambulance himself. Major material damage at the site, the police write.

There is manual routing on site, but the road can be closed again in a short time.

Updated 12.15: According to operations manager Jørgen Barkenæs, this is a meeting accident.

– One driver is completely unharmed, while the other was stuck and had to be helped out by the fire brigade. The person in question has been taken to the hospital for a check-up, but must be relatively unharmed.

The police will investigate the accident.

Rana Blad’s photographer Øyvind Bratt says that the driving conditions are good on site, and it should not be slippery.

The traffic is now let past in pools.

Updated 13.01: A tipper who drove from Korgen towards Mo i Rana a few minutes before the accident happened, informs Rana Blad that it was very slippery right where the accident happened, and that this was the only place on the stretch where it was like that.
