There is good news for the supporters of the two most popular football clubs in the country. Those responsible for SK Sturm Graz and SK Rapid have agreed that for the direct duels in the 2024/25 ADMIRAL Bundesliga season, which started on Friday (the two clubs will meet in the first round in western Vienna on Sunday from 5 p.m.), the ticket prices for the respective guest sectors will be set at an extremely attractive price. In the Merkur Arena in Graz, the ticket in the Rapid sector as well as in the Allianz Stadium in Vienna in the Sturm sector will be available for a flat rate of 12 euros for the upcoming season duels.
Thomas Tebbich, Managing Director of SK Sturm Graz, says: “Duels between SK Sturm and SK Rapid are absolute highlights in Austrian football and are characterised not only by the sporting quality on the pitch but also by the atmosphere of the two largest and most atmospheric fan camps in the country. On the field there is healthy sporting competition, and in our work for football we share an appreciative and highly constructive exchange with SK Rapid, which delivers great results. We are proud and happy to be able to offer this offer to the travelling fans in cooperation with Rapid – who spare no expense or effort to support our team over long seasons.”
Managing Director SK Rapid Steffen Hofmann says: “On the pitch, we have a great sporting rivalry with Sturm Graz, and in the interests of our fans, we have a very professional and constructive collaboration. I am therefore pleased that we were able to agree on this low flat rate for the loyal fans who travel with both clubs in large numbers. Many of them accept great financial hurdles so that they can support their team at every game and I think it is good that we can at least offer them some relief for the burden on their wallets at these matches. I hope and would be happy if other Bundesliga clubs were willing to make such an agreement; it will not fail at SK Rapid and our sporting rivals SK Sturm.”
