A trader who was riding a trishaw was killed when he was hit by a white Toyota Calya on Jalan Pramuka, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta. A security officer near the scene, Yusuf (38), said the victim was dragged about 10 meters at the time crash happen.
“There are about 10 meters (dragged). Even though he (the victim) moved aside, that was his way,” said Yusuf near the scene of the incident, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta, Sunday (12/11/2023).
Yusuf said he was on duty when the incident occurred. He also admitted that he heard a loud crash when the accident occurred.
He said there were two people in the car that hit the trader. Yusuf suspected that the driver was sleepy.
“Yeah, I think it’s because I’m sleepy. If I’m drunk, I don’t think so, that’s normal aja. Normal-normal aja. Yes (two people in the car) early sih me look It’s just the guy, when the police brought him there was a girl like that,” he said.
“It’s okay if the hitman doesn’t mind, I can see he’s busy call like that right,” he continued.
Yusuf said the victim was carrying merchandise such as sauces and ketchup bottles. When the incident happened, the car was immediately asked to stop by passing motorists.
“Trade like thatusually there is oil, sauce, soy sauce, like that sih. This victim is right next to the car. Because the car is running, shouted ‘hold on’, nah he stopped,” he said.
The victim died with injuries to the head and hands
Previously, a trader with the initials RL died after being hit while riding his trishaw on the fast lane of Jalan Pramuka, Cempaka Putih, on Saturday (11/11). He drove from west to east on Jalan Pramuka in the Cempaka Putih area.
“The Toyota Calya vehicle was driven by DSW (39),” said Head of Traffic for the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Commissioner Gomos Simamora, in his statement, Saturday (11/11).

“The rickshaw driver, Brother RL, suffered injuries to his head and right hand and died at the TKP (crime scene),” explained Kompol Gomos.
