This is also demonstrated by the new Trade Wind, a roughly 7.6 meter long two-axle trailer that is aimed at “wild camping”. For some time, it can thus offer self-sufficiency and energy independence.
In this regard, the trailer benefits from the presence of three lithium batteries with a total capacity of 810 Ah. That’s four times the capacity of other Airstream trailers, according to the manufacturer. In addition, Trade Wind is equipped with 600 watt solar panels, so it can really last for some time outside the reach of the traditional electricity grid.
Inside, we find a space providing sleeping space for up to five people. The luxurious-looking interior offers a living area with a TV and a table, a kitchenette with a sink, stove and refrigerator. Those interested can pay extra for a microwave oven with a hot air fryer.
It also made it to the shower, and in the accessory catalog we can also find a composting toilet.
In the front part there is a bedroom, which, thanks to the large windows, captures the panoramic view. Customers can choose between a design with a large double bed or with separate beds.
The comfort in the trailer is further enhanced by air conditioning and heating.

The focus on camping outside of civilization, in addition to equipment ensuring self-sufficiency, is underlined by greater ground clearance and tires suitable for more demanding terrain.
Airstream is already accepting orders, in the United States the price of the Trade Wind camper trailer starts at $129,400, which translates to about 2.95 million crowns.
