You offer Jarnisy traders to use your online sales platform. First of all… who are you?
Florian DUBREUIL : “It’s been fifteen years since I launched Coeur de web, a company that does application development for the web. I work with private companies, local authorities, associations, between Jarnisy, Metz, Thionville, Paris or London. I make websites or apps dedicated to specific tasks. For example, I created an e-learning tool for the École Polytechnique de Paris, another to manage joinery projects for a large company in the Thionville area, etc. “
How did this idea of a sales platform come about?
“I had already thought about it, about four years ago, but it was still pending. At the first confinement, last March, she returned, but eventually I had to focus on other projects directly related to my professional activity. In the end, I had little impact: I have always worked remotely, I was lucky. Which was not necessarily the case around me. The traders of Jarny, I know them, they are friends. Hence the idea of ultimately offering the platform for free. There is nothing revolutionary, this is not going to be a game-changer for them, but it is an additional solution. “
Are many of them expressing interest?
“For the moment, half a dozen, including a shopkeeper from the Étain area. She asked me if we could extend that far, I saw no objection. I imagine other professionals want to see how it goes first. “
And… how is it going?
“For the merchant, it suffices to add photos of their products, with a short description, indicating the price. Payment can be made on a secure platform – Paypal or Stripe, these are the most common – or offer to go in store. Indeed, the first two solutions entail additional costs for them. They can also offer a delivery: either by themselves, or through an external company, the Post, etc. There are already about ten products online. The launch of the site – it’s called Now Commerce – is scheduled for Tuesday, November 10, at 6 p.m. “
On the customer’s side, is there no additional cost either?
“Oh no, at all. It’s like any marketplace: you arrive on a web page with the products, which you discover in bulk, arranged according to the type of products or the store. We have access to one or more photos, depending on the merchant’s choice. And either we receive the product at home for delivery, or we pick it up in the store (according to the click’n’collect principle, tolerated in this context of confinement). “
