Trade in the Tesla! – First test with the Polestar 2 | En route

“What a car looks like a Volvo,” we can hear you thinking. That’s right, because Polestar is a Volvo company. It used to be what AMG is for Mercedes: it made sporty, more extreme versions of standard Volvo cars. It has since become its own brand and therefore also builds its own cars.

The first model was the Polestar 1, a hybrid sports car that Autovisie was also allowed to test at an early stage. But where that car is rather exclusive, the Polestar 2 must appeal to a large audience. So big in fact, that it is a serious competitor of the Tesla Model 3. What does the Swede have to offer?

The Polestar 2 has 408 hp, four-wheel drive, a battery pack of 78 kWh, an expected range of 470 kilometers, can charge a maximum of 150 kW and the price is 59,800 euros. The Tesla Model 3 competitor feels luxury, exclusive and really radiates Scandinavian design from. The interior has a finish for which the minimalist Model 3 must bow its head. But is it enough?
