Since Bonnorange no longer took the waste paper next to the blue bins, some dealers in Beuel have had problems with disposal. That is why the Beuel trade association has come up with a temporary interim solution: Anyone who is currently having problems with their waste paper disposal can contact the Schmitz Blitz waste disposal company from Langenfeld directly.
The company is out and about in Bonn every Wednesday and collects waste paper from various shops. From now on, dealers from Beuel can also get in touch so that Schmitz Blitz can come by on call.
“We are in talks with the city of Bonn to find appropriate solutions,” said Werner Koch, chairman of the trade association. “Since the whole thing takes a long time, an interim solution was needed.” Schmitz Blitz already works with many companies from Bad Godesberg and Bonn, “so I’ve now made contact,” says Koch. Fashion shops, bicycle dealers and electrical shops in particular would have to dispose of an “exorbitant amount of paper” after the many deliveries.
However, the solution with the company Schmitz Blitz should only be temporary. “It’s just an offer to the Beuel dealers,” he said. “But since Bonnorange hasn’t been removing the waste paper since February 1st, long-term solutions are finally needed.” Koch hopes that the trade association will come to an agreement with the city of Bonn.
So far, no dealer from Beuel has taken up the offer of the trade association, said the disposal company Schmitz Blitz on request. “But that would also be surprising,” said one official. “Because we only sent the offer to the commercial community last Monday. Nobody gets in touch that quickly.”
Orders from Bad Godesberg
In Bad Godesberg, the city marketing Schmitz Blitz contacted a few years ago. “Some shops have reported, at least six,” said the clerk. “Especially since this year we have been getting a lot of calls since the new regulation at Bonnorange.” The company has also been active in Bonn “for a long time” and has gained many new customers.
One dealer from Beuel who takes care of the waste paper disposal itself is the Hoenig bike shop on Hermannstraße. “Since Bonnorange no longer picks it up, we drive our boxes to the recycling center ourselves,” said an employee. “We have to do that once a week, at least every two weeks. But then 200 kilograms came together.”
With the many deliveries of bicycles that arrive packed in large boxes, this weight quickly builds up. The chairman of the trade association hopes that the traders who do not dispose of their waste paper themselves will accept the offer until there is an agreement with the city.
