Algermissen (dpa) – tractor instead of drive-in cinema: spectators with several hundred tractors are expected to attend a cinema screening in the municipality of Algermissen in the district of Hildesheim on Saturday. The rural youth Hildesheimer Börde expects around 300 heavy vehicles at the open-air event in the Harsumer Feldmark. Admission is at 6 p.m., the film “Manta, Manta” starts at 8 p.m. There is also popcorn, soda and fries.
Farmers from all over the region are expected. The heavy vehicles are to be sorted according to size for the film screening so that every visitor has a good view of the screen. According to the information, the most imaginative vehicle will be rewarded with a drink voucher. Cars are not allowed due to the high risk of fire. The organizers announced that there would be seating on straw bales for “pedestrians”.
