Roger Griffiths (Team Principal BMW i Andretti Motorsport): “The BMW i Andretti Motorsport Team is traveling to the first of two home events – this time for the Andretti side. We know the track very well and were able to achieve good results there last time with a pole position and two podium places. We know from the past that grip on the track can change quite a lot in qualifying. So we should have very good prerequisites with groups two and three. The expected high temperatures at this time of year could be a challenge for the battery. But we hope to be able to finish in the points with both cars, as we did recently in Mexico. That is crucial for our position in the overall ranking. “

Jake Dennis (# 27 BMW iFE.21): “I’ve been looking forward to this event since the race calendar was announced. I’ve always wanted to go there since I was a kid, but I’ve never made it. I can’t wait to see the Statue of Liberty or the Brooklyn Bridge and race in such a cool part of New York City. The double header weekend will certainly be very intense, but I hope that we can build on our good performance in Puebla and intervene in the battle for the top 3 in the drivers’ standings.

Maximilian Günther (# 28 BMW iFE.21): “The races in New York are definitely among the most special of the season. Racing in front of such a skyline in the background gives the weekend that certain something. The track is great, we’ve prepared well and I feel ready to have fun in the ‘Big Apple’. “
