France should therefore host the world track cycling championships two years in a row. One year before Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, chosen for the 2022 edition, Roubaix will therefore become, from October 20 to 24, the epicenter of world track cycling.
The Roubaix covered velodrome, inaugurated in 2012, will therefore host the 2021 Worlds, according to information from the Voices of the North.

However, after the cancellation of the 2020 edition, the UCI did not want to resolve to a second year without worlds. The UCI therefore turned to the French Cycling Federation, which submitted Roubaix’s candidacy. The UCI must confirm this choice in an official press release early next week.
