Tracing Italian Developers’ Features, Asked Facebook to Pay IDR 65.4 Billion

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Facebook ordered to pay compensation of USD 4.72 million (equivalent to Rp.65.4 billion) to Italian developers.

This compensation payment is due Facebook is accused of plagiarizing a feature made by an Italian developer called “Nearby” on its social network.

Reuters reported, an appeals court in Milan, Italy, upheld a 2019 ruling that said Facebook copied the Nearby feature of the Faround app owned by Business Competence developer.
