Banding Nia Ramadan and Ardi Bakrie were granted by the Jakarta High Court. The appeal decision annulled the 1 year prison sentence for 8 months of rehabilitation.
Nia Ramadhani and Ardi Bakrie were released after the appeal decision was received at the end of March. They are free after completing 8 months of rehabilitation from the rehabilitation center. Following are the traces of Nia and Ardi’s methamphetamine cases:
Arrested for methamphetamine
Nia Ramadhani was arrested at her home in Pondok Indah, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (7/7/2021) afternoon. Nia was arrested after the driver was first arrested.
Nia and the driver were then taken to the Central Jakarta Metro Police. In the evening, Ardi Bakrie surrendered to the Central Jakarta Police, after the confession Nia Ramadan that she often used meth with her husband.
All three were tested for urine and tested positive for drugs. A day later, the police announced that the three had been named suspects.
On Thursday (8/7/2021) night, Nia Ramadhani, Ardi Bakrie, and their driver were taken by the police outside the Central Jakarta Metropolitan Police. The three were taken for development and search at Nia’s house in Pondok Indah, South Jakarta.
“Tonight, we will bring it to a place for development,” said Head of Drugs at Central Jakarta Police Commissioner Indraweny Panji Yoga when contacted detik.comThursday (8/7/2021) night.
During the trial, Nia Ramadhani admitted to using methamphetamine more than three times. Nia Ramadhani admitted to using methamphetamine from April to July 2021.
Nia said she used meth about 4 or 5 times. Nia Ramadan admitted, every time he felt down, he consumed methamphetamine. He feels happy when he uses methamphetamine.
“Use it more than 3 times. I don’t know for sure, maybe 4 times. I forgot about 4 or 5 times,” Nia said at the Central Jakarta District Court, Jalan Bungur Besar Raya, Central Jakarta, Thursday (16/12/2021).
