TPT Collapse Left, Roads in Cipaku Ciamis Threatened

Ciamis News, (harapanrakyat.com),- Land Retaining Wall (TPT) in Sindanggirang Hamlet, Cipaku Village/District, Regency nice, West Java, which collapsed are still left alone.

Before the damage gets wider and worse, residents hope that the Ciamis Regency Government will fix it as soon as possible.

Endang, a resident of Cipaku Village, Ciamis Regency, said that the collapse of the TPT had been going on for a long time.

According to him, apart from the water flowing from the road, it is also the result of seepage of water from the gutters. Water from the road and infiltration from the gutter then settles on the retaining wall.

“The development of TPT must be accompanied by small pipes, to remove water sediment,” he told HR Online, Tuesday (30/11/2021).

Wawan, a local resident, confirmed the collapse of the TPT was left unchecked.

According to Wawan, the high intensity of the rain has added and widened the damage to the TPT.

“Even though it doesn’t clog the surrounding waterways, it is hoped that before it gets worse it can be repaired,” he said, Tuesday (11/30/2021).

Because, he continued, the TPT serves to stabilize soil conditions and protect cliffs from collapse. Thus, the land behind it can be safely restrained from the danger of landslides.

Furthermore, Wawan added, if you look at it at a glance, the damage looks light.

In fact, the damage to the TPT is already very severe. Moreover, in addition to the unstable contours of the land, there are also many heavy-loaded vehicles passing through this district road.

So, if the collapsed TPT is not immediately repaired, the damage will eat up the road.

“As a solution, it must be rebuilt immediately,” he concluded. (Edji/R5/HR-Online/Editor-Adi)
