JAKARTA – This is a problem that many WiFi users experience at home or at work: dead zones or zones that can’t be reached by a WiFi signal.

The impact, of course, sucks. Users cannot connect to the internet even though they are in the same place. For example on the 2nd floor of a house, or a certain corner of the office. Well, this can be overcome through additional accessories for the router, namely a range extender. As the name suggests, its function is to extend the range of the Wi-Fi signal.

The RE305 AC1200 is a range extender from TP-Link. What is unique, TP-Link claims there are three new technologies.

First, the RE305 AC1200 can help eliminate Wi-Fi dead zones by expanding the WiFi signal at speeds up to 1.2Gbps.

Second, the use of Dual band Wi-Fi which allows the RE305 AC1200 to operate on the 2.4GHz band (300Mbps) and 5GHz band (867Mbps) for a more stable Wi-Fi experience.

Wireless signals are transmitted on two separate frequency bands giving more flexibility when it comes to connecting to the internet.

Third, there is Intelligent Signal Light technology. Its function helps find the best location for optimal Wi-Fi coverage by showing signal strength. This can be seen from the blue and red lights.

If it’s blue, it’s a sign of the best location, while if it’s red, it means the connection is quite far from the router.
