Tuesday February 16, the representatives of the State came to give toys to the students of a workshop of the François Mitterrand school, in Saint Jean de la Ruelle (45). A trip in partnership with the municipality which validates a parent-child integration experience in certain neighborhoods.
Any initiative promoting education must be encouraged, especially in sensitive neighborhoods, and that is why, this Tuesday February 16, Christophe Carol, Deputy Secretary General of Prefecture of Loiret,
Sub-prefect in charge of city policy, employment and economic affairs, was present at St Jean de la Ruelle, in the southern district, at the François Mitterrand school, alongside Marceau Villaret, representing Christophe Chaillou, mayor of the town, to distribute board games, offered by the prefecture of Loiret, during a workshop session parents.
This workshop, as explained to the personalities present, is a device set up by the House for all Rol-Tanguy, established in the district, for “support parents in monitoring their children’s education, as part of the educational success program“, As it was announced.
These workshops run on Mondays and Thursdays and allow, under the responsibility of teachers and facilitators, to learn different subjects in a fun way, without too many constraints. “If we don’t succeed right away, that’s okay, we go back to it. And if the method does not work, we try another“. This applies as much to the learning or improvement of languages as to the simplest mathematics. And the presence of children alongside parents allows everyone to better understand these different subjects. The children themselves were keen to explain to the representatives of the State and the municipality how to do it, after the presentation of the person in charge, with a poster in support.
Thus, she emphasized, “On arrival at the workshop, there are 5 stages for parents and children: installation, preparation, implementation, feedback and free time”. The return-assessment? The child explains his feelings, and takes stock of his difficulties and progress. And the parent learns to listen to the child attentively, congratulating him on his successes, and reassuring him on his difficulties.
These are little guidelines that help just as much now, in the workshop, as later in life. For example when an elected official and a representative of the state agree, or not, for common initiatives at the local level, which can then serve as an example for other communities… not just metropolitan ones.
That evening, it was also a question of other files in progress deposited in the offices of the State, for other districts of the city, such that of Chairs. As with these toys offered to children just before school holidays, the aid expected from the State will certainly be seen as more than gifts for the municipality and its inhabitants, but as real tools to optimize academic success.
