Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor will launch in India next week. This compact SUV type vehicle is a twin or rebadged product of the Suzuki Fronx which was launched earlier.
Obtained from Transport, Monday (18/9), the Urban Cruiser series previously adopted Maruti Suzuki’s Brezza model. However, production of this vehicle has been discontinued, so the Urban Cruiser Taisor will adopt another Suzuki product, namely the Fronx.
These changes make the price of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor more affordable. In fact, according to information gathered by Gaadiwaadi, the vehicle will be priced starting at 800 thousand rupees or around IDR 140 million for the cheapest variant.

In appearance, like other Toyota rebadged products, it will be very similar to the original model. The vehicle looks like Fronx in almost all parts. However, there are slight changes in the area of lights, grille eyebrows, foglamps and of course the brand logo.
Turning to features, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor will also resemble the Fronx, for example the use of a 9 inch floating touch screen, heads-up display, 360 camera, cruise control, ESP and many more.

It is predicted that the new SUV will use a 1,200cc DualJet petrol engine with 90 PS of power and 113 NM of torque. Meanwhile, the transmission is automatic and five-speed manual.
Apart from that, it is strongly suspected that the vehicle will come with a 1,000cc turbo engine with a burst of 100 PS of power and 148 Nm of torque. In fact, it is likely that the car will also be available in a CNG variant in the future.
In India, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor will compete closely with other products in the compact SUV segment, such as the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger and Honda WRV.
