Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Toyota Indonesia responds to the achievement of the third generation Avanza and Veloz less shining than its competitors Mitsubishi Xpander and Xpander Cross during the 2021 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).
Sales of Xpander and Xpander Cross status facelift is known to be higher, in fact its composition reached 85 percent of the total Mitsubishi car orders during the GIIAS, or as many as 2,229 units.
Meanwhile, the “All New” Toyota Avanza and Veloz competitors ordered during the GIIAS period only amounted to 1,534 units.
TAM Marketing Director Anton Jimmy doesn’t care about the comparison of Avanza and Veloz sales with their competitors. According to him, the most important thing is that the visitor’s response to this car is claimed to be positive.
“Acceptance (receipt) I heard from the dealer is good,” said Anton via short message, Thursday (25/11).
Anton said that his party also did not have a specific target during GIIAS. Moreover, he added that sales can be done anywhere, not only during GIIAS.
“Sales happen anywhere, both in GIIAS and outside GIIAS,” said Anton.
Meanwhile, Daihatsu slightly commented on the lack of sales of the Avanza twin, namely Xenia during the exhibition.
Daihatsu sales received during GIIAS are known to only be around 105 units, while the overall achievement of Daihatsu sales is 504 units.
“SPK (vehicle order letter) for Daihatsu in GIIAS is only 4 percent of the average sales for 1 month. Why? Because GIIAS is only 1 place and 10 days, while Daihatsu sales for 1 month come from 255 outlets for around 26 sales days,” said the Director Marketing Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM) Amelia Tjandra.
“I can confirm that Daihatsu’s sales data at GIIAS is the real SPK data that we got at GIIAS,” concluded Amelia.
