About a year and a quarter old, the concept was called the “Ultra-Compact Battery Electric Car” and looked like a finished car. Now, however, it is really a finished car and it already has a name – C + pod. Keijidos (better known as “kei cars”) are giant against him.
–
The C + pod is only 2490 mm long, 1290 mm wide and measures only 1550 mm in height, so it is 20 cm shorter and 37 cm narrower than the Smart ForTwo. The body is made of plastic and thanks to that the car weighs only 621 kilograms. Two passengers and a little cargo can fit inside.
–
The Toyota C + pod is strictly two-seater and doesn’t look very spacious.

Although Toyota does not like electric cars, this car runs exclusively on electricity. It can cover up to 150 kilometers on a single charge, which is admirable because the lithium-ion battery that the car is equipped with has a capacity of only 9.06 kWh. The car has an output of 12.3 horsepower and a torque of 56 Nm, which drives the rear wheels. Top speed is 60 km / h.
–
Toyota is currently starting to sell this vehicle in Japan, specifically at a price of approximately 1,650,000 Japanese yen, which is about 370 thousand crowns. Toyota has not yet said whether such a car will be sold on European markets.
