JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) finally launched New Yaris in Indonesia on Tuesday (8/9/2020). This hatchback gets updates from the exterior to add new features.
“As a form of appreciation and implementation of the spirit of Let’s Go Beyond, we are again providing improvements to Yaris so that it can meet the growing needs of customer mobility,” said Vice President Director of PT TAM Henry Tanoto, in an official statement (8/9/2020).
From the outside, a striking change can be seen from the use of a new design front bumper. The following are the headlights and fog lamps that have LED technology.

In it, New Yaris already a reverse camera feature that will make it easier for the driver to park. Not to forget the airbag feature that adjusts your needs, it can be 7 airbags or 3 airbags.
New Yaris also has Hill Start Assist (HSA), which will be useful when going uphill by holding the car for 2-3 seconds, when all the car pedals are not stepped on. This feature is useful so that the car does not reverse when on an uphill road.
Not only gets updates from the cosmetic side alone, technically there is a change in the turning radius which makes this car more agile in turning around. On paper, the current turning radius is 5.1 meters from 5.7 meters previously.

Unlike the model in Thailand, the Yaris in Indonesia still carries the 2NR-FE engine with a capacity of 1,500 cc with 107 ps or 105 hp equivalent and a maximum torque of 14.8 kgm or 145 Nm equivalent.
New Yaris has 7 color choices, starting from Citrus Mica Metallic, Silver Metallic, Gray Metallic, Red Mica Metallic, Orange Metallic, Super White, and Attitude Black Mica.
To note, as of August 2020, the previous Yaris model was marketed from IDR 250,950 million (EM / T type) to IDR 291,450 million (type S CVT TRD).
