The mass-produced hydrogen car Toyota Mirai already put world record as with one tank filling he managed to travel 1003 km. The Japanese manufacturer of hydrogen cars apparently thought that this was not the limit and made another mileage, which was entered in the Guinness Book.
Unlike the first time the world record was set in Paris, France the Guinness World Record was set in California, USA. The Toyota Mirai hydrogen car is driven by specially trained drivers who specialize in driving as long as possible with a single charge of the hydrogen tank or a single charge of the battery pack of the electric vehicle.
Careful measurements showed that the Toyota Mirai hydrogen fuel car burned all of them 5.65 kilograms of hydrogen from its tank to travel 1360.38 km or 845.3 miles. According to the technical documentation of the car, the hydrogen tank of Toyota Mirai collects 5.6 kg of hydrogen, and a complete charge from a hydrogen station with a pressure of 700 bar takes less than five minutes.
Let’s add that this is a record only for hydrogen cars. The record for petrol cars is 2616 km on a single tank filling of the Volkswagen Passat 2.0 TDI Bluemotion, and neither the tank nor the car has been modified in any way.
