These cars accounted for about a third of all sales (nearly 3.7 million). Specifically, the greatest weight is represented by Full Hybrids with over 3.2 million units sold. Therefore, Toyota archives a very positive 2023 in terms of sales. The There is no shortage of challenges for the future, given the very complex moment that the automotive sector is going through. One of the challenges it will have to face is certainly that of electricity. We know well that the Japanese brand has always pursued a strategy of “technological neutrality”, continuing to focus heavily on hybrids and hydrogen. As a result, the offering of BEV models is very limited. With the new CEO, however, there has been an acceleration of the electric strategy. For example, in recent months we have seen the new strategy related to the development of batteries and the announcement of a new generation of BEVs for 2026.
