“Toyota Kijang Innova Zenix Road Trip from Jakarta to Sabang: Exploring Sumatra”

The Toyota Kijang Innova has completely changed, now it has become the Innova Zenix. Taking long trips using the Innova Zenix is ​​still comfortable, let alone being driven fast on the toll road.

We have proven this during a road trip exploring Sumatra. The journey is taken from Jakarta to Sabang as far as 3,800 km.

During the trip, we were accompanied by a Kijang Innova Zenix type V gasoline unit and a unit of Kijang Innova Zenix type Q Hybrid TSS Modelista, as well as a support car unit.

Both the petrol Innova Zenix V and the Q Hybrid TSS still spoil us during this long journey. Our trip took about more than two weeks. The total distance we traveled to Sabang reached 3,865 km, including several times around major cities such as Bandar Lampung, Palembang, Muara Bungo, Lake Toba, Samosir Island, Medan, Aceh and Sabang.

For convenience, the Toyota Kijang Innova Zenix now uses the TNGA: GA-C platform. The latest generation of Kijang Innova uses a monocoque structure to replace the ladder-on-frame structure.

With the application of TNGA: GA-C, the weight of the Innova Zenix Hybrid EV is reduced, the rigidity of the body increases, the sound in the cabin is quieter, and the comfort and stability while driving increases.

On the legs, the Innova Zenix is ​​equipped with a MacPherson Strut suspension at the front and a Torsion Beam at the rear. This car has a stabilizer in front and rear.

The use of a new chassis and supporting legs makes the Innova Zenix quite comfortable to use on long journeys. Especially on the Trans Sumatra Toll Road, which is quite bumpy.
