Toyota is preparing a Supra with a manual transmission, reports from Japan

The Japanese server Mag X wrote on its website about the fact that Toyota is going to launch the sharpest Supra GRMN model on the road and also about the fact that the regular version can get a manual transmission.

According to the Mag X, Toyota has conducted a survey and found that many customers are complaining about the absence of a manual transmission, so engineers are considering including a six-speed manual. As with the sister BMW Z4, which offers a manual box with a four-cylinder engine.

In Toyota, they are also reportedly working on a powerful version of the Supra from Gazoo Racing. Under the hood, the car could have a twice-supercharged six-cylinder engine and the power could attack the limit of five hundred horsepower, which would be equal to the performance of the most powerful BMW, but also some Porsche models.

After all, it is probable that BMW could lend the engine again. The more powerful in-line six-cylinder, codenamed S58, will be used by the upcoming M3 and M4 models. The car should then be lighter and sharper than the standard Supra.
