The Japanese company Toyota is preparing for sale a very cheap SUV. It may be called Hilux Champ; the model will become the most affordable representative of the line. Buyers will be offered a wide range of modifications for different purposes.
Details tells Carscoops. The production version of the Toyota Hilux Champ model will be a continuation of the Toyota IMV 0 concept. Most likely, the car will be built on the same platform as the Hilux.
However, the new product will be cheaper and simpler in technical terms, with an emphasis on utility and versatility. In the standard version, the car will be offered with a rear-wheel drive transmission, and for an additional fee you can buy an all-wheel drive SUV.
The pickup truck will allow the use of various cargo modules and add-ons for specialized equipment. It is also known that the company is working on a modification for severe off-road use.
The design will be made in the style of the Toyota Land Cruiser 250, which was recently officially presented as the successor to the Prado. Power plants are expected to be diesel and hybrid. The exact timing of the model’s appearance has not yet been announced.
