The novelty of the Japanese brand will be available on the Czech market exclusively with three rows of seats and a hybrid drive.

The Toyota Highlander is a large family SUV offered in North America, for example, since 2000. Last year, its fourth generation began production, which will also arrive in Europe for the first time. At the same time, Highlander, together with the launch of pre-orders, reveals Czech prices, which start at CZK 1,399,000.
The first price applies to the Comfort equipment level, which is already richly equipped. It includes seven airbags, a blind spot monitor, a multimedia system with an eight-inch touch screen, a light and rain sensor, an electrically operated driver’s seat or faux leather upholstery. There are also 18-inch alloy wheels, range, wireless smartphone charging, ambient lighting, rear parking camera, three-zone automatic air conditioning, adaptive cruise control or heated steering wheel, windshield and front seats.

The second stage is called Prestige and will cost 1,550,000 crowns. In this case, the equipment is extended with traffic alerts behind the vehicle, electrically adjustable front seats with driver’s memory, 20 ″ wheels, leather-to-leather upholstery, LED headlights, front and rear parking sensors or electrically operated boot lid.
For 150,000 crowns, you can buy a Tech package with ventilated front seats, a JBL music system with 11 speakers or a 12.3 “screen of a multimedia system, including navigation.

The highlight is the Executive for 1,800,000 crowns with a digital interior rearview mirror, contactless opening of the boot lid, head-up display, electrically openable sunroof, navigation with a 12.3 ″ display, ventilated front seats or heated rear rear seats.
The available engine for the Highlander is the only one in Europe. Customers can choose exclusively from the hybrid variant combining a 2.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine with an output of 139 kW with two electric motors, which together provide 181 kW. All wheels are driven by a planetary gearbox. In the USA, however, you can also buy a Highlander with a 3.5-liter six-cylinder fork.
By the way, the car is 4,950 mm long, in the brand’s offer it wants to play the role of a family alternative to the off-road (and rather luxurious) Land Cruiser. That’s why it is equipped with three rows of seats as standard.
Although Czech dealers have already started accepting pre-orders for the new Highlander, customers will not be able to wait for the car until after Christmas. The first specimens will reach them at the beginning of 2021.
