Toyota has released the first official details and photos of the new Corolla Cross crossover dedicated to the European market. Deliveries for the SUV version of the Corolla compact will begin in the fall of 2022.
The European model is superior to the US
Developed on the same TNGA-C platform, the new Corolla Cross does not differ much from other market versions. On the other hand, from a technological point of view, the European version is superior to the one that will be marketed overseas.
Thus, Corolla Cross for Europe offers more sophisticated equipment inside, such as the digital instrument panel with 12.3-inch display, which is larger compared to the one that American customers will enjoy (7 inches).
The multimedia system also has a 10.5-inch screen, and the dashboard layout is specific to European models. In addition, it is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wireless and supports over-the-air updating.
Fifth generation hybrid system
And the propulsion system that the future rival received of Dacia Duster it’s better. European customers will find a fifth-generation hybrid assembly that includes a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder petrol station, a more powerful lithium-ion battery and an electric motor.
The set will be able to develop a maximum power of 199 hp, 28 hp more than the model for the North American market, which lacks hybrid technology. With these resources, the new Corolla Cross will be able to start from 0 to 100 km / h in 8.1 seconds and

The Japanese crossover offers a wide range of support systems, such as Pre-Collision System, Intersection Cut-In Traffic Assist, Intersection Turn Assist, Lane Trace Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Sensor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert with automatic braking function.
