The huge interest in the Toyota GR Yaris means that the carmaker is extending the production of this super hot hatch at least until 2023. The high demand for the car also applies to the Czech market.

Toyota literally shocked the world with the arrival of the GR Yaris. No one expected the Japanese brand to build a purpose-built small hatchback, moreover with a unique technique combining a supercharged three-cylinder and all-wheel drive. After the first rides, the car shocked again, by how well it drives. In addition, GR Yaris is also successful in terms of sales.
The Japanese carmaker has announced that it will extend the production of the top version of the Yaris by at least two years, thanks to high demand. The official homologation model for the development of the new competitive Yaris for the WRC will thus be produced at least until 2023.

Last year, when the GR Yaris model was launched on the market, only 50 cars were destined for the Czech market in the first phase. However, they were dismantled only a few weeks after the orders were launched. However, the interest was much higher, at the moment 209 pieces of GR Yaris were ordered in the Czech Republic.
Although the Toyota GR Yaris refers to a small hatchback of the same name, it differs in many ways from it. It has only a three-door body and, most importantly, a completely new chassis, combining elements of the GA-B platform model Yaris and GA-C from the larger Corolla. The equipment also includes a unique all-wheel drive. The drive is then provided by a newly developed supercharged three-cylinder with a volume of 1618 cm3, which achieves an output of 192 kW and a torque of 360 Nm. The current price list then announces the basic price of CZK 899,000.
