The Toyota Fortuner 2.8 VRZ is confirmed to launch in Indonesia next week. Before knowing the choice of the type and official price of the Fortuner 2.8 VRZ, let’s look at the current choice of Fortuner models and prices.
PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) will launch a new Fortuner model next week. Through an official invitation received by detikOto, the launch of the Fortuner with a more powerful engine variant will be held virtually on Thursday, January 13, 2022.
Previously, the signal for the presence of the Toyota Fortuner 2.8 VRZ in Indonesia appeared in the attachment to the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation No. 40 of 2021 concerning Amendments to the Regulation of the Minister of Home Affairs No. 1 of 2021 concerning the Basic Calculation of the Imposition of Motor Vehicle Taxes and Motor Vehicle Transfer Fees for 2021.
In the regulation there are two new names for Toyota Fortuner, namely Fortuner 2.8 VRZ 4×2 AT and Fortuner 2.8 VRZ 4×4 AT. It is also mentioned that the Fortuner 2.8 VRZ 4×2 has a Motor Vehicle Sales Value (NJKB) of Rp. 431,000,000, while the Fortuner 2.8 VRZ 4×4 has an NJKB of Rp. 554,000,000.
Please note, this NJKB is not the official price of the car. NJKB is the basic figure of the selling value of the vehicle before being subject to taxes, including Value Added Tax (PPN), Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB), and Motor Vehicle Transfer Fee (BBN-KB).
For information, TAM currently markets 7 Toyota Fortuner models with a choice of 2,694 cc petrol engines (2TR-FE) and 2,393 cc diesel engines (2 GD FTV), with 4×2 and 4×4 drive options. Currently, the Toyota Fortuner is priced from IDR 521.6 million to the most expensive IDR 630 million.
