Hybrid cars are still cheaper than electric cars. Even so, when compared with conventional engine cars again, the price of hybrid cars is still higher. In electric cars, one of the things that drives up the price is the battery.
As an example, the price of Toyota bZ4X electric car battery costs IDR 540 million. This price is also half the price of a car sold at 1.19 billion rupees. Unlike the electric car, the price of a hybrid car is somewhat friendlier. A source from detikOto revealed that the price of Kijang Innova Zenix hybrid battery is IDR 53 million.
“The price is Rp. 53 million,” the source said.
Compared to the price, the cheapest Kijang Innova Zenix hybrid costs IDR 458 million. The price of the battery is about 1/9 cheaper than the lowest variant of the Innova Zenix.
Even so, the possibility is not excluded that the price of electric vehicle batteries will become cheaper in the future along with technological developments. For your information, the Innova Hybrid Zenix battery uses a Ni-MH battery with a capacity of 1.31 kWh packed in a compact package and stored under the two front seats without reducing the space in the passenger compartment.
Earlier, Auto2000 Northwest Business Manager Herry Darmasaputra had revealed that the price of Innova Zenix hybrid battery was around IDR 30 million. Herry also explained that consumers need not worry because a guarantee is given.
“So Toyota is committed to making batteries for more years, more products, more time, cheaper and can be used anywhere,” he said.
It should be noted that Toyota provides a warranty of up to 8 years or 160,000 km (whichever is reached sooner) for the battery on the Innova Zenix hybrid and bZ4X. The warranty applies to replacement or damage. This warranty claim can be submitted by consumers through the Toyota dealer network throughout Indonesia.
