Toyota Bans Land Cruiser 300 Buyers From Reselling Their Cars, Here’s The Reason

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Toyota launches SUV luxurious Land Cruiser 300 a while ago. Not long after, orders for this tough SUV penetrated 22,000 units.

Launch Zing, this good news in fact still makes Toyota a little worried. The Japanese automaker suspects that some buyers will sell the Land Cruiser 300 again. If this happens it will cause some security issues.

Therefore, Toyota make special conditions for buyers of the latest generation Land Cruiser. Buyers are required to sign an agreement not to resell or export within one year.

The reason is that Toyota wants to prevent new cars from falling into the hands of criminals. Because Toyota vehicles are often used by rebels or terrorist forces in the Middle East. Even the United States Treasury has asked Toyota to specify the number of cars used by the perpetrators of the crime.

But Toyota’s main reason is to prevent owners from selling Land Cruiser at a higher price. Considering that Toyota has temporarily stopped ordering this SUV.

Specification

Specifically, the Land Cruiser 300 is powered by a 3.5L V6 turbocharged petrol engine. This engine is capable of producing 409 hp and 650 Nm of peak torque. This performance is channeled through a 10-speed automatic transmission.

This SUV has also landed in Southeast Asia, namely Vietnam. In that country the Land Cruiser 300 was sold at a price of VND4,071 billion or IDR 2.5 billion (VND1 = IDR 0.63).
