Pixar released a teaser video for Toy Story 5 at the conference D23 Disney’s last night, but it seems that the “new” teaser uses some images already seen by Apple customers. To say the least, it didn’t go over well unnoticed…
Disney pinned by Internet users
As you can see, the short video, which is supposed to keep fans waiting, reuses several animations introduced in the Toy Story dials on Apple Watch with watchOS 4, in 2017. User Dylan McDonald published a comparison video that superimposes the animations of the Apple Watch dials to better understand them. He also relied on the eagle eye of Aether on X.
Stealing the idea for this from a friend but yeah these are literally just the animations from the watchOS 4 Toy Story Apple Watch face 💀
They even look like they’ve had a back background edited out pic.twitter.com/cvk63GuJdS

Of course, Disney owns the rights to it (since its acquisition of Pixar), but it’s surprising that the American company hasn’t planned new footage to promote its upcoming film. Of course, it’s not important, but it shows that not everyone has Apple’s attention to detail.
It’s hard to imagine Apple using an image from a few years ago to present a feature of iOS 18 or the upcoming iPhone 16. Several Internet users have spotted the “problem” on social networks.
