In order to fine-tune all the educational centers of Ondara, the Town Hall has carried out a series of works, maintenance works and works to accommodate the new academic year 2023/2024 which will begin in the coming days.
This work was carried out by the maintenance staff and the SINMA Municipal Brigade, with a view to the reopening of the educational centers from next Monday, September 11, the start date of the new 2023-2024 school year in Childhood Education, Primary and Secondary. . While this Wednesday, September 6, the course will begin at the Joaquina Gavilà kindergarten.
On the one hand, all the development actions have been carried out both inside and in the courtyards of the educational centers, requested by the management of the Sanchis Guarner and Marjals schools. The councilor for the maintenance of infrastructures, Miguel Gomis, explained that among the main tasks carried out are works to improve accessibility to the Marjals preschool, by removing the sidewalks.
In addition, all air conditioning equipment in all centers has been checked and repaired, and the exterior windows of all buildings have been cleaned.
In the case of Sanchis Guarner Primary School, carpentry work was carried out on the doors, plumbing with change of taps and kitchen thermos, and 1 bathroom, electrical work with change of the main intercom, and he got the furniture ready. .
At the Marjals Early Childhood Education Center, painting works in the boiler room and maintenance in other areas have been carried out, repairs of bathrooms, gardening works with adaptation and maintenance of green spaces, maintenance of artificial turf and carpentry work with repair of doors.
On the other hand, with regard to the building of the municipal kindergarten Joaquina Gavilà, managed by the municipal company SINMA, the necessary repairs and maintenance of the facilities have been carried out during the summer, both at the interior of the classrooms as well as in the common areas and the patio, including the garden and the artificial grass. These tasks included, among other things, the overhaul of all the air conditioning equipment, the maintenance of the patio and the grove, and in plumbing, the maintenance of all the faucets and thermos.
It should be noted that the start of classes at the Municipal Nursery School will officially take place this Wednesday, September 6 and the new students will do so gradually. This year, the Nursery School has the novelty of welcoming pupils from 0 to 1 year old.
