The state supports the education authorities in the construction and renovation of schools with 208 million euros. The funds also come to Freiburg and the district.

The district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald received 1.75 million euros from the school building grant program for renovation and expansion projects as well as preparation for full-time operation for the construction of the new commercial schools in Breisach. The expansion of the branch of the Staufener Thaddäus-Rinderle primary school in Wettelbrunn is being supported with 185,000 euros. The money also goes to the local branch of the Ehrenkirchen Jengerschule in Schallstadt (259,000 euros) and the Johann Philipp Glock School (299,000 euros) and to the Johanniterschule in Heitersheim, used for primary, secondary and middle schools (340,000 euros). In Freiburg, the Staudinger comprehensive school (seven million euros), the Adolf-Reichwein-Bildungshaus (300,000 euros) and the Hansjakob-Realschule (532,000 euros) benefit from the funding.
