The European Central Bank (ECB) will announce its interest rate decision on Thursday. Will President Christine Lagarde come up with tough measures against skyrocketing inflation? Or is the ECB repeating the mantra that rising prices are temporary? Opponents of the liberal policy, such as economist Geert Noels, fear the side effects. But as far as ABN economist Nick Kounis is concerned, governments themselves have to work harder.
