Libreville, Wednesday October 18, 2023 (Infos Gabon) – The Head of State instructed the ministers of public works and hydraulic resources to accelerate the resumption of priority projects.
This is what emerges from the meeting between business leaders, ministers of public works and hydraulic resources around the Head of State last Friday in Libreville.
During the audience he gave at the presidential palace to a delegation of business leaders, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema asked to accelerate the resumption of priority road infrastructure and drinking water projects.
“Reaffirming his ambition to restore the dignity of individuals and improve their living conditions, the Head of State instructed the two members of the government to accelerate the resumption of priority works in the best interest of the populations,” we indicate.
This decision by the Head of State came after listening to a presentation on the road infrastructure currently being built and on the drinking water needs in Greater Libreville and its surroundings, as well as an update on the State’s debt vis-à-vis -towards the companies which are behind the shutdown of certain construction sites.
According to Jeannot Kalima, Minister of Hydraulic Resources, from these exchanges, the two parties proposed solutions allowing the restart as soon as possible of all the sites.
