The announcement was made by the spokesperson for the Committee for the Transition and Restoration of Institutions (CTRI), Lieutenant-Colonel Ulrich Mamfoumbi Mamfoumbi, on December 11.
«In order to remedy the situation of social precariousness of public media personnel, the President of the Transition, President of the Republic, Head of State, Brigadier General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema instructed today, December 11, 2023, the competent state services for the purpose of opening 500 budget positions for the benefit of agents in this important sector for the life of the Nation», announced Lieutenant-Colonel Ulrich Mamfoumbi Mamfoumbi, reading press release 033 from the CTRI.
Indeed, this CTRI approach will help counter persistent unemployment and alleviate the precariousness in which public media workers live. This is especially true since many agents working on national television and radio operate as external collaborators. Anything that does not allow them to benefit from all the advantages linked to the work they do on a daily basis.
The CTRI’s decision is thus part of the commitments made by the President of the Transition to improve the living conditions of the population in general but of those in the media sector in particular.
