Towards a generally drier and warmer weather

+ The rainy disturbance that has been rippling for a few days over the central part of France will gradually diminish under the effect of the high pressures that rise from the Iberian Peninsula.
+ At the same time, warmer air from the Sahara will push this cloudy and slightly rainy front towards the North West regions in the day on Sunday (before disappearing).
+ The temperatures will therefore begin their ascent from the southwest between Sunday and Monday. + + But this heat will not reach as far as regions north of the Seine because very fresh air will descend from Scandinavia – and this conflict will cause the formation of a rain zone between Normandy, Nord-Pas- de-Calais and the northeast regions in the day on Tuesday.
+ Then: a high pressure will form on the British Isles and we will experience a second part of a dry and rather sunny week (with seasonal temperatures in the northern regions and rather high in the south).

** Extremes in France (plain) over the past 24 hours:

Minimum temperature: 3 ° C in Nancy (54)
Max T ° C: 30 ° C in Auribeau-sur-Siagne (06)
Maximum cumulative rain in the last 24 hours: 53 mm at SAINT-HILAIRE (38, 990m)
European analysis of Saturday 2 May 2020 (Finnish weather)

Names of depressions and highs scheduled for Sunday, May 3, 2020 at noon (Berlin)
