Kochi: After films like Minnal Murali, Thallumala and Ajayant 2nd Moshanam, Tovino Thomas starrer Nadikar Thilakath’s shooting started in Kochi with pooja ceremonies. Directed by Lal Jr after his hit Driving Licence, the film is produced by Godspeed helmed by Alan Antony and Anoop Venugopal. Y.Naveen and Y.Ravi Shankar of Maitri Movie Makers, who produced many popular films including Pushpa – The Rice Part 1, are a part of the film. This is the first time that Maitri Movie Makers will be a part of a Malayalam film. The budget of the film is around 40 crores, which will be shot for 120 days in various locations. It is also the highest grossing film in Malayalam in recent times. Tovino Thomas will play the role of ‘Superstar David Patikal’ in the film. David Patikali, who has been a superstar in the acting field for the past seven years, is facing some difficulties in his life. Through ‘Nadikar Tilaka’, Lal Jr. presents his efforts to overcome this and the events that take place in between. Along with Tovino, Soubin Shahir plays another important role. Soubin is playing the role of Bala in the film. Nadikar Thilak also has the distinction of being Tovino and Saubin’s first film together.
