Tours FC have just made a very nice gesture of solidarity. The president, Jean-Marc Ettori, announced via a press release the imminent reception of Afghan refugees within the club’s facilities as the country is going through a new major crisis with the takeover of the Taliban. “The President and Owner of Tours FC that I am, proposed and agreed to put at their disposal if necessary, all or part of the club’s facilities: 40 rooms, kitchens, restaurant, sports hall, amphitheater, meeting place and life”, specifies the press release.

After having made contact with the cabinet of the Presidency of the Republic, then having exchanged with Gérald Darmanin, Minister of the Interior, Marlène Schiappa and the Director of the Cabinet of the Mayor of Tours this morning, Jean-Marc Ettori will allow several families to ‘be accommodated from this Saturday. They will stay “the time it will take so that they can rest and regain their strength for a new and better life which awaits them I hope and wish”, continues the President of Touraine.
